Speakers
Alex Hamilton

Alex Hamilton is the CEO and founder of Radiant Law, an award-winning NewLaw firm based in the UK. Alex spends much of his time working closely with clients and spearheading product and tech development at Radiant to make clients' contracting processes fly.
Alex wrote the book (Sign Here) on how to speed up contracting and create better commercial relationships, and he regularly talks and writes about improving contracting, legal tech, and the evolving legal landscape. Alex is a fellow of the College of Law Practice Management and has led a bunch of projects recognised by the FT's Innovative Lawyer awards. Before founding Radiant Law, Alex was a Partner at Latham & Watkins and co-Chair of their global Technology Transactions Group, and when he used to be a real lawyer, he worked on some of the larger technology and outsourcing deals out there.

Bernadette Bulacan

Bernadette Bulacan is a frequent speaker regarding the digital transformation of global enterprises. As Vice President and Lead Global Evangelist for Icertis, the recognized leader in enterprise contract lifecycle management, she is charged with sharing contract management best practices with legal and contracting teams and evangelizing the use of innovative technologies like AI/ML and blockchain. Prior to Icertis, Bernadette was a co-founder and Assistant General Counsel of Serengeti Law, which created e-billing and matter management platform, Serengeti Tracker (acquired by Thomson Reuters.) She held leadership roles at Thomson Reuters and QuantAI, an intellectual property AI analytics start-up. Bernadette was recently named 2020 Women of LegalTech by the American Bar Association. Bernadette advised start-up technology companies at Graham & Dunn, a Seattle firm and Venture Law Group, a Silicon Valley firm. Bernadette received her undergraduate degree from Yale University and her law degree and LL.M from the University of Washington.
Ceschino Brooks de Vita

Ceschino is Director of Content Marketing at Sirion, a leading provider of AI-powered contract lifecycle management solutions. He started his career as a corporate lawyer at a large firm in New York City, after which he studied business and moved into the world of tech. He combines his firsthand knowledge of the practice of law and contract management with his understanding of emerging technologies to help people realize the tangible benefits of concepts such as AI within the context of the work that legal and business teams do every day. Ceschino holds a JD from Harvard Law, an MBA from UT-Austin, and a BA from Notre Dame. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and children.
Christina Demetriades

Craig Conte

Craig is the lead partner for Legal Operate and has been working in contracting, contract management and tech enablement for over 20 years. Craig’s team focuses on legal managed services, providing solutions that are focused on delivering better business outcomes, lowering the cost of contracting and increasing speed and efficiency, while recognising that contracts are at the heart of an organisation. Craig has unique expertise in creating contracting Centers of Excellence hubs and deploying contract enablement technologies, having assisted with the selection, implementation and management of dozens of platforms for many clients globally. Prior to joining Deloitte Legal, Craig was first a practicing lawyer in New York with a focus on outsourcing and IT transactional law. He has previously held roles as head lawyer for Capgemini’s BPO practice, building global capabilities for legal, commercial and customer support; and Elevate where he built the organisation’s contract consulting capabilities. Craig is on the Board of Directors for World Commerce & Contracting and regularly speaks on industry innovations in contract and commercial management.
David Auld

David Auld is the Head of Engineering for Microsoft’s AI Acceleration Studio where he helps Microsoft’s enterprise customers adopt the latest AI technologies like Open AI’s GPT-4 language model. Prior to this role, he worked in Microsoft’s Office of the CTO on machine learning frameworks. He was on the founding incubation team for the suite of AI offerings that would eventually become Azure Cognitive Services and subsequently ran the engineering teams building Microsoft’s Computer Vision API and Custom Vision services. Over 10 years at the company, he has held numerous roles in strategy, data science, and product development. Beyond Microsoft, David has also worked at Amazon and multiple startups in the areas of big data, mobile payments, and financial services. He lives in the Seattle area with his wife and two children.
David Tollen

David W. Tollen is one of the industry’s leading authorities on software licenses and contracts about artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and other forms of technology. He is the author of the America Bar Association’s bestseller, The Tech Contracts Handbook. And he is an attorney, expert witness, and instructor at the U.C. Berkeley Law School. David provides training on IT contract drafting and negotiation through a company he founded, Tech Contracts Academy, LLC (https://techcontracts.com/). He teaches both public and in-house classes for lawyers, contracts managers, and other business people. David also practices law with Sycamore Legal, P.C . (https://sycamorelegal.com/), a San Francisco law firm he founded. He and his attorneys represent buyers and sellers in contracts about cloud computing, AI, software licensing, and other IT relationships. They also advise on intellectual property and privacy. Finally, David’s work as an expert witness involves litigation about IT contracts. David graduated with honors from Harvard Law School and has degrees from Cambridge University in England and U.C. Berkeley. On the side, he writes about history. He is the author of two award-winning educational novels on the subject: The Jericho River and Secrets of Hominea. David is also a member of the Board of Advisors for Ancient History Encyclopedia, the world’s most-read encyclopedia about history.
Dean Broers

Dean currently serves as a Regulatory and Compliance Leader in the Office of the CISO, focusing on consulting with regulated customers in APAC. Dean’s primary role here at Google as a Portfolio Manager involves managing complex go to market programs to enable our Google Cloud customers. As an experienced CISO with over 25 years of technical experience in government, commercial program management, Dean has managed and led security, data privacy and compliance across a range of global business' and government organizations. Prior to joining Google in 2020, Dean was a Program Manager working in both public and private sectors and directly consulted for a number of large global financial organisations including JP Morgan - CitiBank - Deutsche Bank - ABN AMRO - RBS.
Harm Ellens

As a Director of AI Advisory Services, I work with public, private, and government organisations across the Asia-Pacific region to create and implement AI-driven enterprise solutions and digital transformation strategies. With over 20 years of experience in evaluating, developing, sourcing, deploying, and assessing AI systems, I have a deep understanding of the technical, ethical, and business aspects of AI. My mission is to enable responsible, ethical, sustainable, and conversational AI that benefits all stakeholders. I am also a Co-Chairperson of ISO/IEC SC42 WG 3, where I coordinate the development of international AI trustworthiness standards and roadmaps, and a Working Group Convenor of AS IT-43, where I adapt international standards to the Australian context and provide input into the strategic direction of the Australian contribution to the global standards development. I am passionate about sharing my AI expertise and insights with various stakeholders, including academia, government, professional associations, consumer advocacy groups, and industry conferences.
Ilona Logvinova
Jakob Mathiasen

Jakob is an attorney at Gorrissen Federspiel, one of Denmark's largest law firms, where he heads their Media and Entertainment law department. He specializes in IP law and has a deep interest in technological advancements, particularly the Metaverse and Extended Reality (XR), and their implications on IP rights. Jakob has an active focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), exploring the legal challenges and opportunities that come with this rapidly advancing technology. In 2021, he founded the podcast Entertainment Law ("Entertainmentretten"), a platform where he, alongside co-host professor Morten Rosenmeier, discusses new case law and other legal developments within the entertainment sector. He serves as the secretary for the Danish Copyright Association, organizing and overseeing various copyright-focused conferences each year. Jakob established the course Entertainment Law at the University of Copenhagen and is an editor and co-author of the textbook Entertainment Law. His contribution to IP law and Entertainment law extends to a number of books and articles he has authored. In 2022, his work in Media and Entertainment Law earned him the "Koktvedgaard Award", granted by the Association for Entertainment and Media Law.
Jamie Wodetzki

Jamie Wodetzki is a legal tech veteran and entrepreneur with a passion for solving the complexity of contract analysis. He joined the Catylex team as chief product officer in 2021. Previously, he was co-founder and chief product officer of Exari, a global CLM leader acquired by Coupa in 2019. Having spent more than 10,000 hours analyzing and automating technology, finance, insurance, real estate, healthcare, procurement, sales, licensing and other contracts, Jamie has unique insights into contract management. Prior to joining Catylex, he spent 2 years as VP of Contract Strategy at Coupa and 19 years at Exari. Jamie’s other achievements and roles include: co-inventor of various contract-related patents; Fellow of the Center for Legal Innovation at VT Law School; Senior Associate at law firm Minter Ellison.
Jeffrey Catanzaro

Support clients with vision, strategy, and execution for all facets of contracts, compliance, and commercial services for law firms, corporations, and professional services firms. Build partnerships for contract services clients while driving groundbreaking innovations in technologies that include AI solutions for legal documentation review, drafting and negotiation. Support client’s with LIBOR transition readiness, working with financial industry clients to transition from LIBOR’s floating reference rate to Alternative Reference Rates (ARRs) like SOFR and SONIA prior to the expiration of LIBOR at the end of 2021. Collaborate with banks, financial institutions, and their legal representatives to build solutions for transitions incorporating technologies, revised documentation, fallback provisions, standard operating procedures, limiting new transactions, and training.

Jessica has been working to solve lawyer problems throughout her career, from her time as an editor at Practical Law to developing software products for attorneys as a product manager at Thomson Reuters. Jim Pearson

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland. Moved to Houston 21 years ago. Supply Chain professional with over 30 years of international experience in major contracts (predominately in capital projects). Have worked for ConocoPhillips for 15 years, and prior to that worked for Technip (Norway, France and the USA). Married with three young children and living in Katy, Texas.
John Veilleux

John Veilleux leads Verizon Business Legal’s technology-optimization team – using Agile and Design Thinking methods to tailor processes and systems to the real work of contract drafters closing deals. Because of the growing importance of AI to that work, John has been focusing a lot lately on identifying the best AI implementations for the Legal department’s highest-value needs. John’s innovation leadership has been recognized by the Association of Corporate Counsel and World Commerce & Contracting, among others. John graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Law Journal, clerked for the Honorable Thomas A. Flannery of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and was a litigator at Shea & Garner (now Goodwin) before becoming a contracts and technology lawyer (Amtrak, MCI).
Judy Slatyer

My focus for this decade is to support Australia, Australians and Australian businesses to adapt to the future ahead, particularly given the impact of climate change and frontier technologies. I have a portfolio of initiatives which are targeted to this. Prior to this I was the CEO of Australian Red Cross. Prior to that the global COO for WWF International, before that the CEO of Lonely Planet and Chief of Consumer Sales, Telstra Corporation.
Keld Jensen

Keld Jensen is an international author, professor, speaker, advisor and expert in negotiations and trust. He has worked with leading global companies, governments and individuals as an advisor and trainer. These include SAB Miller, LEGO, the governments of Denmark, Great Britain, Lithuania and Canada, Rolls Royce, Siemens, Thermo-Fisher, Carlsberg, Vestas, and Novo Nordisk. The concept of SMARTnership negotiation has been awarded "best negotiation concept". Jensen has authored 24 books published in more than 37 countries. Jensen is an associate professor at Thunderbird School of Global Management (ASU) in the US, Aalborg University in Denmark, and BMI Institute in Belgium and Lithuania.
Khushbu Solanki

Dynamic, creative, and solutions-oriented professional with 3+ years at a small US and Netherlands-based pharmaceutical company. Recognized for managing and executing multiple competing initiatives, developing and implementing electronic systems, streamlining processes to maximize efficiency and meet strict deadlines, and building and fostering positive cross-functional relationships. Responsible for template and clause library development and management, drafting, negotiation, and review of anything from a Confidentiality Agreement to a Clinical Trial Agreement. Successfully implemented a global Contract Management System that is cost-effective, user-friendly, and fully customized to my company & that satisfies every stakeholder’s current needs and is flexible enough to adapt to changing processes and needs over time. Kingsley Martin

Kingsley has been at the forefront of technology innovation in the legal practice. He has 30 years of experience in the practice of law, software design and development, strategy and management. In 2012, Kingsley was recognized by the ABA as a Legal Rebel. In 2013, he was honored as one of the Fastcase 50; an Innovator by Law Technology News; and a national Law Journal Trailblazer and Pioneer. Kingsley developed some of the first document assembly systems. He taught himself the C computer language and automated his tax practice. Later, Kingsley was one of the leading innovators in developing the theory and practice of knowledge management. He wrote the Knowledge Management Workbook. Next, Kingsley pioneered the new discipline called contract analysis. He is a founder of KMStandards and has developed software capable of automatically analyzing legal agreements and creating contract standards. Using this software, Kingsley has developed the free web resource ContractStandards.com providing model contracts, checklists, and clauses, together with other contract resources. Kingsley is also a founder of Akorda.com a startup applying AI to contract review. Kingsley holds law degrees from Oxford University (First Class Honours) and Harvard Law School.
Leanne Shelton

With a background in journalism, marketing, internal communications, events, and B2B sales in corporate, government, and not-for-profit roles, Leanne Shelton founded Write Time Marketing in 2014. These days, she manages a team of senior level Australian SEO copywriters - with a focus on website copy, blog articles, ChatGPT editing, and book coaching/editing. Leanne also provides content marketing training, including topics like ChatGPT and LinkedIn. On top of it all, Leanne is the founder of the 'Marketing & Me' Meet Up group, host of 'The Leanne Shelton Podcast', and Podcast Partner with Sydney Hills Business Chamber. Outside the office, Leanne enjoys dancing, yoga, meditation, running, reading business books and psychological thrillers, listening to inspiring podcasts, and chilling with her hubby and two daughters.
Maka Kama

Maka believes in the power of technology and his mission is to inspire leaders to use technology for the benefit of the underprivileged. This is the topic of his PhD thesis and is the culmination of a 20+ year career as a technologist with deep experience in Policy Co-Design, Human Centred Design, Data Analytics and Analysis, consulting & innovation and large-scale Digital Transformation. He a Global Fellow with World Commerce & Contracting association, is on the board of Alliance ICT and led transformation teams at DXC Technology, ThoughtWorks, Accenture, SAS, Unisys and inside government departments. He is a trained econometrician and admitted solicitor and has a love for music and singing.
Mark Beer

Mark is a solution-orientated, innovative, client-centric advisor and academic who is recognised for his ability to analyse and resolve even the most intractable issues. Mark’s extensive, global and diverse experience allows him to find answers where others see problems. It has led him to be twice named as one of the 'Top 50 most influential Brits in the UAE', as one of the 100 Inspiring Leaders in the Middle East, as one of the 100 most influential people in Dubai and by Forbes Middle East as one of the top 50 most influential expats in the UAE. Mark was appointed an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in her 2013 Birthday honours list for his work in strengthening relations between the UK and the UAE and was twice shortlisted by the Law Society of England and Wales as the UK's Solicitor of the Year – In-House, and as one of the UK’s most innovative lawyers. Mark was awarded The Association of Corporate Counsel Middle East Achievement Award for his work in developing Dubai's judicial system.

Megan Ma

Dr. Megan Ma is a Fellow and the Assistant Director of the Stanford Program in Law, Science, and Technology and the Stanford Center for Legal Informatics (CodeX). Her research focuses on the translation of legal knowledge to code, considering its implications in contexts of human-machine interaction. She also teaches courses in computational law and insurance tech at the Law School.
Michael Gormley

Michael Gormley Jr. has been with the CobbleStone Software team since January of 2018. Michael progressed through his career at CobbleStone becoming a Senior Account Manager and then CobbleStone Sales Manager. Milva Finnegan

Milva Finnegan has worked over 23 years in the contract and commercial management profession. She earned her Doctor of Science in Economics in the Field of Business Law from the University of Vaasa in 2021 where her research focused on user-centered contract design. She started her career at the Boeing company where she spent 12 years in various contracts and finance functions. After Boeing she started her own contracts consulting company, Karhu LLC, who helps companies with Contract Lifecycle Management system selection and implementation, contract management process improvements, and training. Milva holds the Supplier Relationship Management Advanced Practitioner (SRMAP) certification from WorldCC.
Paul Lippe

Paul Lippe is the Founder and CEO of xMentium, a collaboration automation system based in Denver, Colorado and Calgary, Alberta. xMentium is dedicated to the idea that “everything is translation,” and companies can do a better job of aligning across themselves and with partners to minimize delays and improve outcomes. Paul is also a member of the Advisory Board of Elevate Services, which acquired OnRamp Systems, where he was CEO. Paul was at various times General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Business Development and Corporate Marketing at Synopsys, an electronic design automation company. Richard Robinson

Richard is a corporate lawyer turned entrepreneur. He is the CEO and Founder of Robin AI, a leader in legal AI with a vision of making contracts simple for everyone. He worked for a number of years at leading law firms including Clifford Chance and Boies, Schiller & Flexner before founding Robin AI in 2019. As CEO, Richard oversees all areas of strategy and operations, whilst working closely with customers to ensure Robin AI delivers value through its cutting-edge, user-focussed products. He has led Robin AI through two rounds of venture capital funding, totalling $14.5M with investors including Google, Softbank, Plural, Episode 1 and Forward Partners. Through his vision and leadership, Robin AI has grown to over 100 employees, with a global client base that includes Clifford Chance, Yum! Brands, CNA Hardy and Repligen.
Sally Guyer

Sally supports the World Commerce and Contracting global team in the pursuit of both the recognition of and excellence in Commercial and Contract Management. She is an experienced and accomplished commercial and contracts management professional, holding senior commercial positions at a range of corporate and multi-national organizations. After gaining an Honors degree in Law, Sally spent her time in the house in the corporate sector, where she worked globally in the Telecomms and IT industries, before establishing her own legal and commercial consultancy in 2007. Sally is passionate about enabling business efficiency and growth through contracting and commercial excellence; she understands the need for robust business operations to drive these efficiencies, together with the requirement for effective communication and collaboration at all times. Whether in contract development, negotiation, training or general communications, Sally has built a reputation for service excellence and responsiveness. Her focus is on the creation of positive and successful business relationships, constantly striving to ensure that businesses realize their true potential and value.
Sarah Cotgreave

Sarah Cotgreave is VP APAC Sales for LavenirAI. Sarah is a member of World Commerce and Contracting, Chartered Fellow of CIPS and has a Masters in International Trade and MBA in Financial Services. Sarah has negotiated strategic contracts globally for construction, transport, health, media, ICT, facilities, travel, consulting services, energy, and defence. She has led procurement teams at Barclays, GE Insurance Holdings, Reuters, Salomon Smith Barney, and Williams Lea and has been a facilitator for procurement commodity round table events in Europe, Asia and Oceania. From 2012-2018, Sarah was Chief Commercial Officer at the NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, negotiating agreements for the New Zealand Aid Programme. Sarah has provided training or support on sustainable procurement, PPPs, digital transformation, policy, and regulation in the UK, US, NZ, Australia, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Philippines, Tajikistan, and Solomon Islands. She designed a Procurement Accreditation Skills Scheme and Technology Innovation Challenge grant funding process for the Asian Development Bank. Sarah has always been interested in achieving additional value with new technologies. From 2004-2007, she led an award-winning programme implementing eProcurement across UK government. Sarah was also a product marketing manager for the world’s leading foreign exchange trading system.
Sujay Rao

Sujay Rao is the Chief Product Officer at Sirion. With more than 25 years of experience in Product Management and the SaaS space, Sujay has a track record of building and growing product organizations while bringing disruptive SaaS products and solutions to market. At Sirion, Sujay oversees Sirion’s entire portfolio of authoring, performance and AI products and is focused on developing conversational contracting AI and extending Sirion’s product capabilities into adjacent areas of CLM. Prior to Sirion, Sujay served as CPO for Simpplr, a leading AI-powered employee experience platform.

As the Executive Director for the Centre of Legal Innovation (Australia, New Zealand and Asia) at the College of Law (CLI), Terri collaborates internationally with legal business leaders, supporting them in identifying trends, developing strategies, and transforming their capabilities and practices to deliver legal services/products/solutions in the new legal ecosystem. She leads CLI’s global initiatives, networks, and programs, including the Generative AI in Legal Practice Initiative, the AI for Legal Series and the global Legal Generative AI Summit 2023 (October). Terri is a passionate proponent of people-centred legal practice innovation.

Tim Cummins

An international, cross-industry career that has moved from corporate management to extensive research, advisory and capability development services to public, private and third sector organisations. Tim has lived and worked in the UK, France (3 years) and United States (20 years), building an impressive research and entrepreneurial record, with demonstrated commitment to delivering social benefit. As Founder and President, World Commerce & Contracting (formerly International Association for Contract & Commercial Management), Tim has built a 72,000 member worldwide non-profit association which increasingly influences commercial policies and contracting practices in major corporations and governments. In September 2019, he was presented with the Financial Times ‘Market Shaper of the Year’ Award. Tim is also Professor and Chair, International Commercial & Contract Management, University of Leeds, School of Law, where he leads development of inter-disciplinary commercial programs. Prior to founding World Commerce & Contracting, Tim was on the Chairman’s staff at IBM Corporation and led the development of worldwide commercial processes and skills. His early career included management roles in banking, automotive and aerospace industries, where he led negotiations up to $1.5 billion in value. He has served in advisory roles for government departments in various countries, including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and Japan.

Sir Winston Malapad is currently the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer of Datahuit and the Director for Process Excellence and Analytics at Foundever. He is a certified Artificial Intelligence professional and a member of Wharton People Analytics. He is the author of The 365 Days Of Great Leadership, which is in its second year. He was named one of the Top 100 Filipinos on LinkedIn and recently received the Harver LIFT award, which recognizes professionals worldwide who strategically use technology to bring innovation to the HR space.
